Keynote Speaker: Oliver Hobert, Ph.D named a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator from 2005 – present, currently a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at Columbia University Medical Center.
“Mechanisms of neuronal cell type specification”
Speaker: Ruth Lehmann, Ph.D an investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Professor and Chair of the department of Cell Biology at NYU Langone Medical Center, and director of the Skirball Institute for Biomolecular Medicine.
“Germ cells are forever”
Speaker: Nipam Patel, Ph.D a William Power Endowed Chair, UC Berkeley. Professor of the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology and the Department of Integrative Biology, and the Faculty Curator of the Essig Museum of Entomology.
“Insights from Novel Research Organisms: From Crustacean Limbs to the Beauty of Butterflies”
